Kaletra

"Kaletra" is the trade name of a HIV protease inhibitor drug, a combination of two things:

Lopinavir - the actual protease inhibitor chemical
Ritonavir - a drug which slow's the body's processing of lopinavir and helps maintain the levels of lopinavir in the body

In mid-2003 a report was published indicating that Kaletra could be an effective "monotherapy" - i.e. a single-drug treatment as opposed to a multi-drug treatment like HAART. More information: www.aidsmap.com/news/newsdisplay2.asp?newsId=2315
